In January, the schedule of Nintendo Switch releases was quite empty, but the February list is impressive! You will experience a bunch of new DLCs for great games and several hits in such categories as puzzles and action. We examined them all and selected 3 most highly anticipated titles of February. Read on and get ready to preorder!

1. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics was scheduled for February 4, and the developer didn’t lie. You can already download the game or get a physical copy on the nearest Nintendo Store. Another great fact for you to know is that Netflix works on a series adoption of the Dark Crystal! A game and a series during 2020, isn’t it fantastic? We recommend you to go to YouTube and watch a few trailers quickly to decide whether it’s worth your attention or not, and make a decision.

Developers managed to bring characters to life in an impressive visual wrapper. The tactical gameplay of The Dark Crystal feels dynamic and has a lot of hidden features to surprise you as you progress. Developers added a lot of verticality to the gameplay so that you won’t get bored by making strategy on flat grounds. Although the maps are quite small, they include a lot of tactical opportunities for you to test. It’s the first and probably the best possible game set in Jim Henson’s fantasy universe. It’s based on classic tactical games but doesn’t fail to be utterly creative at the same time.

2. Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Cindered Shadows

The next big title to hit your Nintendo handheld is Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Cindered Shadows. In fact, it’s not a standalone title but a long-awaited DLC for Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which was one of the most successful Switch releases of 2019. Cindered Shadows will let you take a fresh look at the franchise and explore a new storyline, mastering the same gameplay upgraded with several new features.

Developers still hold in secret some of the upcoming updates, but it’s clear that we’ll meet a bunch of new characters, face new quests, and explore several beautiful, spacious locations. If you’re new to the franchise, you’ll definitely get captivated by excellent anime-style visuals, dynamic combat system, and an extremely detailed narrative. It’s currently one of the best JRPGs for Nintendo Switch. And no, it’s not too geeky for European gamers!

3. Gods & Monsters

At the end of the month, on February 25, Ubisoft is going to surprise us with something new and massive. Ubisoft is quite secretive about the new game, but we managed to gather all the known facts. Gods & Monsters will be an open-world action-adventure with exploration mechanics. We also know that the game is set in fable ancient times when all characters from myths and legends used to be real and alive.

Gods & Monsters features a beautiful art style with a high level of detalization and the size of terrains comparable to the last chapter of The Legend of Zelda. Both games seem to have a lot in common. However, we are anticipating to see a lot more epic action scenes in Ubisoft’s creation. The team behind the game has already shown its power in Assasins Creed: Odyssey, so our high expectations are about to be rewarded.

Happy Gaming February!
